Title: Dolche Truckload Hits Financial Roadblock—But Plans a Comeback
Dolche Truckload, a trucking company out of Illinois, recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy under Subchapter V. While bankruptcy often sounds like the end of the road, that’s not the case here.

This type of filing allows Dolche to restructure its debt, continue operating, and come back stronger if all goes according to plan.
The company faced defaults on equipment loans and struggled with cash flow, challenges that are not uncommon in today’s trucking market. High fuel prices, fluctuating freight rates, and rising insurance premiums are all putting pressure on carriers, especially mid-sized ones. Dolche’s decision to file under Subchapter V gives it access to a faster, cheaper path through bankruptcy that could allow it to bounce back in about six months.
For other carriers, Dolche’s situation is both a warning and a lesson. Financial management, flexible contracts, and staying prepared for market swings are critical to survival. While some companies may collapse under similar pressure, others, like Dolche, can use the system to reset and keep rolling.
