    • Objective: Identify and address tire-related issues that could compromise vehicle safety.

    • Inspection Points:

      • Tread depth measurements

      • Proper inflation levels

      • Detection of damage such as cuts, bulges, or tread separation

      • Assessment of improper repairs

    • Consequences: Vehicles with tire violations may be placed out of service until issues are rectified.

✅ Preparation Tips

To ensure compliance and avoid potential violations:

  • For Drivers:

    • Review and update RODS to ensure accuracy.

    • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, focusing on tire conditions.

    • Ensure all required documentation is current and accessible.

    • Be prepared to demonstrate knowledge of HOS regulations and proper log usage.

  • For Fleet Managers:

    • Implement regular maintenance schedules, emphasizing tire inspections.

    • Provide training sessions on HOS compliance and proper log maintenance.

    • Ensure all vehicles are equipped with functioning ELDs and that drivers are proficient in their use.

    • Communicate the importance of the upcoming Roadcheck and the focus areas to all drivers.

By proactively addressing these areas, carriers and drivers can contribute to safer roadways and minimize the risk of violations during the International Roadcheck
